The safety ring's shape and the molded seal effectively seal off the tube, allowing for vacuum creation. These fittings are available with multiple thread types, including SwiftFit, UNF, PTF, NPTF, BSPT, and BSPP. All straight fittings can be tightened using an Allen wrench due to the internal hex design, making it possible to secure the fitting in confined spaces where an open-end wrench cannot be used.
