The Phoenix media safes are designed to provide optimal storage conditions for a variety of devices, including backup tapes (DLT, LTO), iPads, smartphones, laptops, hard drives, film, and memory cards, featuring both humidity and temperature control. Constructed from all-steel for enhanced durability, these commercial-grade safes are equipped with a key lock for convenient access and can hold up to 35 DLT or 36 LTO tapes. They are fire rated to class 125 for 2 hours, having been tested at 1850 degrees Fahrenheit, and are explosion tested at 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. The safes are impact rated, surviving a drop from 30 feet onto concrete rubble and subsequent reheating, simulating real fire conditions like floor collapse or structural failure. Water resistance is ensured through a double-door construction with internal seals that guard against damage from fire hoses and sprinklers. The steel bolts provide added security, while the sealed design protects contents from theft, dust, and humidity. The safe includes a 3-year parts and labor limited warranty and comes in an off-white finish, with the manufacturer’s part number being 2002.
