E7018 mild steel "low hydrogen" welding electrodes are designed to deliver high-quality results on smaller amperage DC or higher amperage AC welders. This product is suitable for all welding positions on hardenable steels without preheating, as well as on cold rolled steels which typically exhibit excessive porosity when welded with conventional rods. The low hydrogen content significantly reduces the risk of cracking and peeling in the weld material. These electrodes are ideal for applications such as field erections, steel structures, frames, trailer hitches, and chassis.
