E7018 mild steel "low hydrogen" welding electrodes are designed to achieve quality results with smaller amperage DC or higher amperage AC welders. This product is suitable for all positions on hardenable steels that require no preheat, as well as on cold rolled steels that typically show excessive porosity when welded with conventional rods. The electrodes feature a low hydrogen content, which minimizes the risk of cracking and peeling in the weld material. They are ideal for applications such as field erections, steel structures, frames, trailer hitches, and chassis.
