These units feature extensive audible and visual alarms to ensure the security of critical samples and vaccines. The freestanding models (designated as "UCFS") require a minimum of 4" of clearance around the back and sides for proper ventilation; failure to adhere to this specification may void the warranty and can result in temperature maintenance issues, overheating, and potential failure. These models are UL/C-UL listed, come with a full 2-year comprehensive warranty, and utilize environmentally friendly hydrocarbon (HC) refrigerants, which do not contain hydrofluorocarbons, significantly reducing global warming potential and complying with new EPA/SNAP mandates as well as UL and ASHRAE guidelines.
