This vise features a nut anchored at the rear, providing straight line pull and even pressure, resulting in greater durability. Its round channel design allows for a completely enclosed spindle and nut assembly, keeping debris out and lubrication in for a lifetime of smooth operation. For ultimate versatility, the vise is equipped with self-centering pipe jaws that hold up to 6" pipe safely and securely, a machined anvil work surface, and a locking swivel base with double lockdowns for a non-slip hold in any position. The precision slide bar eliminates movement in the front jaw regardless of opened distance, while the hardened steel jaws with replaceable inserts are machine serrated for a safe, sure grip under maximum torque. The body is constructed from 60,000 PSI ductile iron, offering virtually indestructible strength with 2x the durability of grey casted vises.
