Wilton® Brute Force™ bridge C-clamps are designed for heavy construction and fabrication, featuring a drop forged frame and a black oxide coating. These clamps can exert clamping pressure of up to 40,000 lbs. The spindles are constructed from a single piece of square, cold drawn steel that is tempered and hardened, ensuring durability and reliability. The full closing, extra heavy duty models are specifically engineered for the rigors of heavy industrial applications, such as shipbuilding. A hot upset square head on the spindle allows for higher torque, while the square-head spindle includes a large diameter rolled thread and a hardened point, providing smoother operation and enhanced strength. The black oxide coating on the spindle further offers resistance to corrosion.
