The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for letter-sized documents and features five shelves in a sleek black finish. This innovative cabinet maximizes storage efficiency with a double-sided, rotating design that accommodates more than twice the files in the same footprint as traditional filing systems, facilitating quick and easy access to stored materials. The base of the unit is constructed from 13 gauge steel, reinforced with 13 gauge U-channel supports that feature a 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep cross-section. This robust base is MIG welded for rigidity and includes 11 gauge gussets at each corner for added strength. The adjustable leveling feet enable the cabinet to be leveled from the top, and the base allows for 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. The cabinet includes four upright posts made of 11 gauge steel, secured to the base with 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts, and features dual durometer PVC closing strips. A lock assembly with a random-keyed locking rod is conveniently located on the right front post, and the locks, formed from 3/8" diameter steel rod, can be easily replaced or moved to either side of the unit. The EZ2® rotary bottom is supported by 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size model featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings, while the legal size model has a 24" diameter cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin and a mating steel component, ensuring smooth operation. This unit is compliant with industry standards and carries a warranty for added confidence in its durability and performance.
