This end mill features 2 flutes that allow for maximum chip ejection and is center cutting, making it suitable for milling slots, pockets, and plunge cutting. The double end design reduces tool costs and downtime while the single end configuration is also available. Manufactured from 8% cobalt, it offers high red hardness, and is coated with TiN (Titanium Nitride) to enhance lubricity, hardness, chip flow, surface finish quality, and tool life. The TiN coating provides an increase of 25 to 30% in machining speeds compared to standard high-speed steel tools. The bright, uncoated tools are ideal for milling in carbon steel, alloy steel, die steel, and stainless steel. Additional specifications include a helix angle of 30°, a shank length of 1-15/16", and a straight shank with a Weldon flat.
