This end mill features four or more flutes, which generate a higher surface finish compared to two-flute end mills, enabling higher feed rates and making it ideal for finishing operations in a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is center-cutting, allowing for milling slots, pockets, and plunge cutting, and is single-ended. Manufactured from premium high-speed steel, this end mill is coated with titanium nitride (TiN), which enhances lubricity and hardness, improving chip flow, surface finish quality, and tool life. The TiN coating also provides an increase in machining speeds by 25 to 30% compared to uncoated tools. The end mill is suitable for milling applications in carbon steel, alloy steel, die steel, and cast iron. It has a helix angle of 30° and a shank length of 2".
