Federal Signal's model 27XST explosion-proof strobe light produces 80 high-intensity flashes per minute and operates on 120VAC. The 27XST is UL listed for Class I, Division 1, Groups C & D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F & G; Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B; and Class III. It is also CSA certified and marine rated, with a Type 4X rating and constructed to IP66 standards. Corrosion resistance is provided by a powder epoxy finish over a copper-free aluminum housing, with all exposed hardware made of 316 grade stainless steel. This model has an effective candela (ECP) of 850 and a peak candela of two million. Included in the package is a pendant mount, while ceiling and 90° wall mounts are available as options. For installation, the mounting box is first secured, and the fixture is threaded onto the box, ensuring electrical continuity when five threads are engaged. The 27XST is designed specifically for explosion-proof atmospheres and corrosive environments, making it ideal for application in oil rigs, mines, refineries, and chemical plants.
