The tool features a trigger actuation with a stronger middle finger design, ensuring that the finger rests on the side of the tool without protruding. Its anatomic design maintains the wrist and arm in a straight position, allowing for high feed forces and better control thanks to the line of force being aligned with the chuck. The teasing trigger offers good speed control, while a grease zerk facilitates direct greasing of the gears. The 3 planetary system reduces gear train length and increases durability, and both the tipper valve and valve seat are easily accessible for service. A slip fit front end plate bearing permits easy servicing of the air motor without disturbing rotor spacing, and a drop-in motor design requires no alignment for non-reversing drills. The rotor pinion is case-hardened to resist wear, and the planetary reduction can be serviced without removing the chuck, with planet gear pins designed for slip fit assembly and disassembly. The ring gear is machined into the motor retainer for ease of assembly and disassembly, while interchangeable rotor, cylinder, bearings, and endplates reduce the number of spare parts that tool cribs need to stock.
