Taperlock bushings are designed to maintain a narrow sprocket hub profile, resulting in a less significant length-thru-bore dimension. Featuring a left-justified hub, these bushings allow for shaft mounting that is in close proximity to bearings, which helps to keep the center of the load dimension compact while mitigating problems associated with highly overhung loads. The bushings are split through the flange and feature a gradual taper, ensuring a true clamp fit on the shaft comparable to a shrink fit.
