The Taper Chamfer Hand Tap features 7 to 10 incomplete threads before cutting and is designed for use in a variety of hand and machine tool operations on both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It boasts a ground thread for improved surface finish and tighter tolerances, commonly referred to as a starter tap. This tool is best suited for tapping through holes but can also be effectively utilized in blind holes that have sufficient clearance at the bottom. Additionally, it is capable of tapping hardened steels.
