The power head is compatible with a range of optional couple shaft attachments, featuring a lever style lock system for quick, tool-less installation and replacement, with the kit XUX01ZM5 specifically including a string trimmer attachment. The efficient BL™ brushless motor is designed to optimize battery energy use, providing up to 50% longer run time per charge compared to non-brushless tools. Electronic controls dynamically adjust to the application’s demands, enhancing power and speed as required. The BL™ brushless motor’s lack of carbon brushes contributes to cooler operation and increased longevity. For user safety, the electronic torque control shuts off the motor when rotation speed decreases abruptly, and the overheat warning system activates an indicator light to alert users, automatically stopping the motor when necessary. Additional features include a variable speed trigger and a reverse rotation system for clearing the brush cutter head of entangled debris. The power head is equipped with Makita Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™), which provides a protective seal designed for improved performance in harsh conditions by directing water and dust away from vital internal components.
