The Med Aire Bariatric Heavy Duty Low Air Loss Mattress Replacement System, measuring 54"W, is designed for the prevention, treatment, and management of pressure ulcers. This mattress operates in an alternating pressure mode, making it suitable for use in nursing homes, hospitals, and home environments. It features an LED and audible low pressure alarm that activates when pressure falls below 10 mmHg, and its cell-on-cell design prevents the patient from "bottoming out" during power failure. The "Whisper Quiet" pump delivers an air flow of 15 LPM (liters per minute) and works in conjunction with 20 air bladders, each constructed of soft, lightweight nylon/TPU that does not stretch, with 10" cells. Additionally, a quick fill adapter is standard, and CPR valves enable fast deflation within 20 seconds. The zippered nylon/TPU cover is quilted, water resistant, vapor permeable, and machine washable. The product comes with an 18-month limited warranty on both the pump and the mattress.
