The SafetyFlex® flame resistant specialty PVC on polyester jacket combines tough protection and a comfortable fit, specifically designed to resist industrial acids, chemicals, and caustics for optimal safety. It features a full cut shoulder with a 90° sleeve to body angle for maximum freedom of movement, while tapered sleeves with elastic inner cuffs enhance safety. The storm fly front effectively seals out wind, rain, and contaminants, with non-conductive and non-corrosive snaps and hidden hardware for added protection. Additional features include a throat guard, high collar with hook & loop closure for splash and drip protection, mildew resistance, and a heavy exterior coating that ensures excellent permeation performance. The jacket is distinguishable by its safety green color for easy identification and is constructed for all-day comfort. It includes a detachable hood, sold separately, which snaps onto a collar flange without penetrating the garment. The flame resistance has been rigorously tested, demonstrating self-extinguishing properties with a flameout and afterglow of less than or equal to 2 seconds after the removal of the ignition source, with a char length of less than 6 inches, in accordance with test method ASTM D6413. The jacket is ideal for applications involving chemical handling, transportation, storage, petrochemical drilling, refineries, and environmental clean-up, and it exhibits resistance to many acids, oils, alcohols, salts, and alkalies.
