The SafetyFlex® flame resistant specialty PVC on polyester jacket is designed to provide tough protection combined with a comfortable fit, specifically engineered for resistance against industrial acids, chemicals, and caustics. It features a full cut shoulder with a 90° sleeve to body angle for maximum freedom of movement, while tapered sleeves come with elastic inner cuffs for enhanced safety. The storm fly front seals out wind, rain, and contaminants, and non-conductive, non-corrosive snaps are employed alongside hidden hardware for added protection. Additional attributes include a throat guard, high jacket collar with hook & loop closure for splash and drip protection, mildew resistance, and a heavy exterior coating that ensures excellent permeation performance. The jacket offers a soft, supple feel for all-day comfort and is available in a distinctive safety green color for easy identification. It includes a detachable hood that snaps to a collar flange without penetrating the garment, with the hood sold separately. Flame resistance is tested with self-extinguishing properties, having a flameout and afterglow of less than or equal to 2 seconds after the ignition source is removed, and char length is less than 6 inches, per test method ASTM D6413. This jacket is ideal for applications in chemical handling, transport and storage, petrochemical drilling, refineries, and environmental cleanup, and it showcases chemical resistance to many acids, oils, alcohols, salts, and alkalies.
