The SafetyFlex® flame resistant specialty PVC on polyester jacket offers tough protection combined with a comfortable fit, designed specifically to resist industrial acids, chemicals, and caustics. Key features include a full cut shoulder design with a 90° sleeve to body angle that provides maximum freedom of movement, tapered sleeves with elastic inner cuffs for enhanced safety, and a storm fly front that seals out wind, rain, and contaminants. The jacket is equipped with non-conductive, non-corrosive snaps, hidden hardware for additional protection, a throat guard, and a high collar with hook & loop closure for splash and drip protection. It is mildew resistant and has a heavy exterior coating that ensures excellent permeation performance while maintaining a soft, supple feel for all-day comfort. The distinctive safety green color allows for easy identification. The detachable hood, sold separately, attaches to a collar flange without penetrating the garment. The jacket is flame resistant, tested to be self-extinguishing with a flameout and afterglow of less than or equal to 2 seconds after removal of the ignition source, with a char length of less than 6 inches, per ASTM D6413. This jacket is ideal for applications such as chemical handling, transport and storage, petrochemical drilling, refineries, and environmental cleanup, with chemical resistance to many acids, oils, alcohols, salts, and alkalies.
