The SafetyFlex® flame resistant specialty PVC on polyester jacket is designed to provide tough protection while ensuring a comfortable fit. This jacket is engineered to resist industrial acids, chemicals, and caustics, featuring a full cut shoulder with a 90° sleeve to body angle for maximum freedom of movement. Tapered sleeves with elastic inner cuffs enhance safety, while the storm fly front effectively seals out wind, rain, and contaminants. It includes non-conductive, non-corrosive snaps and hidden hardware for added protection, along with a throat guard and a high collar with a hook & loop closure for splash and drip protection. The jacket is mildew resistant, has a heavy exterior coating that delivers excellent permeation performance, and offers a soft, supple feel for all-day comfort. Its distinctive safety green color facilitates easy identification, and the detachable hood, which is sold separately, snaps onto a collar flange without penetrating the garment. The jacket has been flame resistant tested, self-extinguishing with flameout and afterglow of less than or equal to 2 seconds after the ignition source is removed, and a char length of less than 6 inches, according to test method ASTM D6413. It is ideal for applications such as chemical handling, transport and storage, petrochemical drilling, refineries, and environmental cleanup, demonstrating resistance to many acids, oils, alcohols, salts, and alkalies.
