The SafetyFlex® flame resistant specialty PVC on polyester jacket is designed to provide robust protection while ensuring comfort and mobility. This jacket is crafted to resist industrial acids, chemicals, and caustics, featuring a full cut shoulder with a 90° sleeve to body angle that enhances freedom of movement. The tapered sleeves include elastic inner cuffs for added safety, while the storm fly front seals out wind, rain, and contaminants. Non-conductive and non-corrosive snaps are incorporated into the design, which also features hidden hardware and a throat guard. The high collar is fitted with a hook & loop closure for splash and drip protection, and the jacket is mildew resistant. The heavy exterior coating offers excellent permeation performance, and the soft, supple material ensures all-day comfort. Its distinctive safety green color enhances visibility, and the detachable hood snaps are affixed to a collar flange to maintain garment integrity, with the hood sold separately. The jacket has been flame resistant tested, demonstrating self-extinguishing properties with a flameout and afterglow time of less than or equal to 2 seconds after ignition source removal and a char length of less than 6 inches, as measured by ASTM D6413. This garment is ideal for applications including chemical handling, transport and storage, petrochemical drilling, refineries, and environmental clean-up. The chemical resistance covers a wide range of substances, including many acids, oils, alcohols, salts, and alkalies.
