SafetyFlex® is a specialty PVC suit designed for aggressive applications, featuring flame-resistant properties and a comfortable fit. Engineered to withstand industrial acids, chemicals, and caustics, it is ideal for use in chemical environments. This suit offers chemical resistance to various acids, oils, alcohols, salts, and alkalies. Key features include Therm-O-Rad sealed seams for 100% liquid proof protection, a storm fly front that seals out wind, rain, and contaminants, non-conductive and non-corrosive snaps and buckles, hidden hardware for added protection, a zipper closure with a dual storm fly front, and mildew resistance. The suit is self-extinguishing with a flameout and afterglow time of less than or equal to 2 seconds after the removal of the ignition source, and a char length of less than 6 inches, tested according to ASTM D6413. It also features a heavy exterior coating for excellent permeation performance, a soft and supple feel for all-day comfort, tapered sleeves designed to fit in protective gloves or accommodate glove rings for added safety, and a distinctive safety green color for easy identification.
