The kit includes plates labeled with alpha-numeric markings for easy identification of individual wells, each featuring a raised rim that nests into the rings on a single direction lid, effectively reducing evaporation and minimizing the risk of cross-contamination. The lids are designed with a stacking feature for added stability when handling tall stacks of plates. The one well plate has a footprint identical to standard multiple well plates, making it suitable for high-volume and robotic screening of DNA libraries, as well as manual plating; it is also compatible with dot-blotting bacterial clones on 11.4 x 7.3 cm (4.5 x 2.875 in) nylon membranes. The 4 well plate provides a smaller footprint with well sizes comparable to a 24 well plate but features expanded well spacing to further reduce cross-contamination. The 384 well plates are specifically designed for automated applications, colorimetric assays, compound storage, or small volume tasks. Additionally, the 96 well non-treated plate is now available in a 5-pack, catering to large-scale users.
