The kit includes plates with alpha-numeric markings for easy identification of individual wells, with each well featuring a raised rim that aligns with the rings on the single direction lid to minimize evaporation and limit cross-contamination risks. The lids are designed with a stacking feature for enhanced stability when managing tall stacks of plates. The 1 well plate has a standard footprint comparable to multiple well plates, making it suitable for high-volume and robotic screening of DNA libraries as well as manual plating; it is also appropriate for dot-blotting bacterial clones on 11.4 x 7.3 cm (4.5 x 2.875 in) nylon membranes. The 4 well plate offers a smaller footprint with well sizes similar to a 24 well plate but features expanded well spacing to further reduce cross-contamination. Additionally, the 384 well plates are designed for automated applications, colorimetric assays, compound storage, or small volume applications. The 96 well non-treated plate is now available in a pack of five for large-scale users.
