The kit includes tissue culture treated plates designed to enhance cell adhesion and facilitate easy identification of individual wells with alpha-numeric markings. Each well features a raised rim that fits into the rings of a single direction lid, minimizing evaporation and the risk of cross-contamination. The lids are designed with a stacking feature for stability when managing tall stacks of plates. The 1 well plate has the same footprint as standard multiple well plates, making it suitable for high volume and robotic screening of DNA libraries, as well as manual plating; it is also compatible with dot-blotting bacterial clones on nylon membranes measuring 11.4 x 7.3 cm (4.5 x 2.875 in). The 4 well plate offers a smaller footprint with well sizes comparable to a 24 well plate, while providing expanded well spacing to further reduce cross-contamination. The 384 well plates are particularly suited for automated applications, colorimetric assays, compound storage, or small volume applications. This kit is compliant with industry standards and specifications.
