The Americana Wildlands full brim style polycarbonate hard hat complies with the NFPA 1977-2016 standard on protective clothing and equipment for wildland fire fighting, 2011 edition, and features a Nomex/Kevlar chinstrap with a postman's slide fastener and quick release buckle. It includes three goggle retaining clips on the hat shell, four yellow fluorescent retroreflective strips attached to the shell, tape for neck shroud attachment, and an affixed under-brim glare guard. The moisture-wicking brow pad is removable, washable, and replaceable, while the 4-point nylon webbing suspension incorporates a Mega-Ratchet knob that adjusts head sizes from 6-1/2 to 8. A low hanging, padded, hinged ratchet is height adjustable for a personalized fit, providing protection in environments with higher ambient temperatures or radiant heat, such as during outdoor wildland fire fighting. This hard hat is made in the USA and meets ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 Type 1 Class C, E & G standards.
