The newly re-designed JET 2244 oscillating drum sander features an exclusive oscillating mode that helps produce optimal sanding finishes while minimizing dust. The oscillation from left to right reduces heat build-up on the sanding belt, thereby decreasing loading and burning. Key features include a SandSmart™ control system that continuously monitors the load on the drum motor, regulating the conveyor motor speed to prevent overloading, and a dust hood with an integrated channel that directs chips and dust to a 4" collection port. The worktable's conveyor bed parallelism can be easily adjusted using a dial, eliminating the need for tools. The sander’s precision-machined, dynamically balanced extruded aluminum drum dissipates heat effectively and offers a 3/4" oscillating stroke. Users benefit from infinitely variable speed control of up to 10 feet per minute for optimal feed rate, and conveyor belt trackers™ minimize the need for manual adjustments. Additionally, the tool-less abrasive take-up clips facilitate quick and easy changes of abrasives. The mobile cabinet features a heavy-duty dimensions of 45" x 2".
