This lathe operates on a 115-volt single-phase input, providing 1 horsepower and 230-volt, 3-phase output through an inverter for consistent torque. It features a magnetic control box that displays both digital speed and indexing, which can be relocated for convenience and safety. The lathe boasts twenty-four positive locking indexing positions, a sliding headstock, and a removable tailstock to facilitate easy outboard turning. Its cast iron bed effectively reduces motor vibration, leading to decreased noise and enhanced precision. The variable speed ranges from 15 RPMs to 3600 RPMs, with constant motor torque maintained by the inverter. The lathe is designed for easy disassembly to improve portability and includes acme threads on the tailstock for smoother operation and longevity. Additional components include an 8-inch tool rest with a 1-inch post, an attached tool caddy for convenient access to centers and accessories, a non-marring pinch-style clamp on the banjo for secure tool rest placement, ergonomic chrome-trimmed hand wheels for comfortable use, and a main power disconnect on the rear of the headstock that locks out for safety.
