Fifth wheel steering refers to a type of steering where the front wheels and axle assembly pivot on a center point known as the fifth wheel, allowing the steering wheels to encounter less friction compared to swivel casters, making wagon trucks with this steering easier to maneuver under heavier load conditions, especially when using softer, wider pneumatic wheels on rough or uneven surfaces. These wagon trucks can be either pulled or pushed and feature a T-handle with vinyl handgrips for two-man operation. The construction includes a heavy 12 gauge reinforced steel deck with a 6" retaining lip, full 1-inch diameter axles, roller bearing wheels, and a structural channel undercarriage designed for heavier loads and durability, with additional carrying capacity provided by the 6" lips on the steel deck.
