The work shoes are made from Aerex 1.5.5®, a proprietary, chemical-resistant, thermally-insulative, microcellular polymer that results in footwear over 40% lighter than most steel toe PVC and rubber options. They are ideal for applications such as warehouses, workshops, construction, transportation, municipalities, janitorial tasks, and various food processing environments including dairy, meats, vegetables, and breweries. The shoes offer superior chemical resistance to fats, oils, hydrocarbons, as well as many acids and alkalis. The dimensions are available in men's size 4 and women's size 6, featuring a 6-inch height, composite safety toe that meets ASTM F2413 M/I/C EH* standards and does not trigger metal detectors. They are 100% liquid-proof and have a slip-resistant, cleated nitrile rubber outsole that provides excellent grip on both dry and wet surfaces. The design incorporates tiny air bubbles in the material for temperature regulation, ensuring feet remain warm in cold conditions and cooler in heat. Other features include a unique thumb pocket for easy donning, a wrap-around heel kick for hands-free removal, and the elimination of shoelaces to prevent contamination or tripping hazards. The removable, contoured insole is designed to absorb heel strike energy, reducing impact on the foot while walking to minimize injury risk. It is important to note that electrical hazard soles and heels are intended to reduce risks from accidental contact with live electrical circuits but are not suitable for environments with volatile chemicals or explosives, and their protective features may deteriorate in wet conditions.
