The work shoes are made from Aerex 1.5.5®, a proprietary, chemical-resistant, thermally-insulative, microcellular polymer, which makes them over 40% lighter than most steel toe PVC and rubber shoes. They are suitable for applications such as warehouses, workshops, construction, transportation, municipalities, janitorial work, and various food processing environments, including dairy, meats, vegetables, and breweries. The shoes offer superior chemical resistance to fats, oils, hydrocarbons, as well as many acids and alkalis. They feature a 6-inch height design, a composite safety toe that meets ASTM F2413 M/I/C EH standards, and a black cleated outsole that will not trigger metal detectors. The 100% liquidproof shoes are also chemical resistant to a wide range of substances. The cleated, slip-resistant nitrile rubber outsole provides excellent grip on dry, wet, clean, and contaminated surfaces. Tiny air bubbles embedded in the material help regulate foot temperature by keeping feet warm in cold environments and cool in warm conditions. The lightweight Aerex 1.5.5® construction ensures all-day comfort, while a unique thumb pocket at the top allows for a secure, no-slip grip for easy donning. The shoes also feature a wrap-around heel kick for hands-free removal and eliminate the need for shoelaces, reducing contamination and trip hazards. Additionally, the removable, contoured insole absorbs heel strike energy, minimizing impact on the foot during walking to reduce injury risk. The electrical hazard soles and heels are designed to decrease the risks associated with accidental contact with live electrical circuits, though they are not suitable for environments with volatile chemicals or explosives and may deteriorate in wet conditions.
