The work shoes are made from Aerex 1.5.5®, a proprietary, chemical-resistant, thermally-insulative, microcellular polymer, making them over 40% lighter than traditional steel toe PVC and rubber shoes. They are suited for applications in warehouses, workshops, construction, transportation, municipalities, janitorial services, and various food processing environments including dairy, meats, vegetables, and breweries. The shoes demonstrate superior chemical resistance against fats, oils, hydrocarbons, and many acids and alkalies. They feature a 6-inch height, a black work shoe design with a composite safety toe and a black cleated outsole. The composite safety toe complies with ASTM F2413 M/I/C EH standards and is designed to avoid setting off metal detectors. They are 100% liquidproof and chemical resistant to a broad spectrum of chemicals, acids, alkalies, and oils. The cleated, slip-resistant nitrile rubber outsole provides excellent grip on both dry and wet surfaces, including clean and contaminated areas. The design incorporates tiny air bubbles that help keep feet warm in cold conditions and cooler in warm environments. The lightweight construction of the Aerex 1.5.5® material offers exceptional all-day comfort. Other notable features include a unique thumb pocket for a firm, no-slip grip during wear, a wrap-around heel kick for hands-free removal, and no shoelaces to reduce contamination and trip hazards. The removable, contoured insole is designed to absorb the energy of heel strikes, alleviating impacts while walking to minimize injury risks. The composite safety toe and electrical hazard soles are intended to mitigate hazards from accidental contact with live electrical circuits, while a warning indicates that the electric hazard features may deteriorate in wet conditions or with wear. The shoes are available in men's size 7 and women's size 9.
