The work shoes are made from Aerex 1.5.5®, a proprietary, chemical-resistant, thermally-insulative, microcellular polymer, resulting in footwear that is over 40% lighter than most steel toe PVC and rubber shoes. They are ideal for use in warehouses, workshops, construction, transportation, municipalities, janitorial work, and various food processing environments, including dairy, meats, vegetables, and breweries. The shoes offer superior chemical resistance to fats, oils, hydrocarbons, and many acids and alkalis. They are available in size men's 13 and feature a 6-inch height with a composite safety toe that meets ASTM F2413 M/I/C EH standards and is safe for metal detectors. The design is 100% liquidproof and includes a cleated, slip-resistant nitrile rubber outsole, providing superior grip on dry, wet, clean, and contaminated surfaces. The tiny air bubbles in the material keep feet warm in cold conditions and cooler in heat. The lightweight Aerex 1.5.5® construction ensures all-day comfort, while a unique thumb pocket at the top allows for a firm, no-slip grip during wear, and a wrap-around heel kick enables hands-free removal. The shoes eliminate the use of shoelaces to avoid contamination and trip hazards. Additionally, a removable, contoured insole absorbs the energy of heel strikes, reducing impacts to the foot while walking to minimize the risk of injuries. The electrical hazard soles and heels are designed to reduce the risk associated with accidental contact with live electrical circuits but are not suitable for use in environments with volatile chemicals or explosives, and their protective features may deteriorate in wet environments.
