The 3M SS 316/316L forged pipe fitting features a 1/2 x 1/4" insert socket weld and is engineered to ASTM/ASME A/SA182 and ANSI B16.11 specifications. These Class 3000 fittings come in various sizes and shapes, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, including chemical, petrochemical, power generation, and OEM manufacturing industries, as well as other applications subject to vibration, high pressure, or extremely corrosive conditions. The socket weld material is preferred over threaded fittings in most applications, as it ensures complete sealing off of a line and eliminates the possibility of leakage.
