The 3M SS 316/316L forged pipe fitting is designed for a 2 x 1" insert socket weld and is engineered to meet ASTM/ASME A/SA182 and ANSI B16.11 specifications. These Class 3000 fittings are available in various sizes and shapes, making them suitable for diverse industrial applications such as chemical, petrochemical, power generation, and OEM manufacturing, as well as other environments where vibration, high pressure, or extremely corrosive conditions are present. Socket weld material is preferred over threaded fittings due to its ability to completely seal off a line, eliminating the possibility of leakage.
