The kit includes a smooth 12 gauge steel top reinforced with angle iron on the underside and gussets in the corners, providing exceptional strength and rigidity. The legs and lower braces are constructed from 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 3/16" thick angle iron, and feature 2" square footpads with a 9/16" hole for secure mounting to the floor. These all-welded units are shipped fully assembled and ready for immediate use, with an overall height of 36". The 1/4" hardboard surface is directly attached over the 12 gauge steel top, serving to deaden the sound from heavy blows and metal-to-metal contact, while also offering a more forgiving surface than steel, which aids in protecting parts.
