The kit features a smooth 12 gauge steel top reinforced with angle iron on the underside and gussets in the corners for exceptional strength and rigidity. The legs and lower braces are constructed from 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 3/16" thick angle iron, with legs equipped with 2" square footpads containing a 9/16" hole for mounting to the floor. These all-welded units ship fully assembled, ready for immediate use, and have an overall height of 36". A 1/4" hardboard surface is attached directly over the 12 gauge steel top; this hardboard helps to deaden the sound of heavy blows and metal-to-metal contact while providing a more forgiving surface than steel, thereby protecting parts.
