The base layer has an ARC Rating of 4 cal/cm², classified as Category 1, and is made from 5.5 oz. FR Control 2.0™ fabric with flame resistant silver segmented reflective trim. It incorporates odor control technology and offers inherent flame resistance that does not wash or wear out, ensuring long-lasting protection. The shirt is moisture-wicking and breathable, proactively regulating skin temperature by +/- 3 degrees while reducing perspiration by as much as 34%. It features a tagless collar and high stretch fabric for superior comfort, and is made in the USA. Compliance standards include NFPA 70E, ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R Class 3, CSA Z462, ASTM F1506, and OSHA 1910.269.
