Large volume tanks are designed for storing potable water, featuring fitting locations that align with the requirements of normal installations as well as the A. O. Smith CER-Temp 80® and Shure-Temp systems. This unit includes a glass-lined tank with cathodic protection, while the cabinet is constructed from heavy gauge steel and finished with high-quality powder coat paint, offering additional insulating properties for improved energy efficiency. The entire tank is encased in high-density fiberglass insulation, which is non-sagging and vermin-proof, minimizing heat loss. To comply with ASHRAE 90.1 (current standard), the depth of the insulation cavity necessitates the use of a remote bulb-type tank temperature control and thermometer. This tank is built with ASME construction, and it is advised to check local and state building codes prior to installation.
