The forged hoist hooks are quenched and tempered, featuring load-rated swivel hooks designed for maximum strength without excessive weight and bulk. Their low-profile hook tip is engineered to accommodate Crosby S-4320 or PL-N latch kits, with the option to add latch assemblies even years after the original purchase. Markings forged into the product include two Quic-Check® features: deformation indicators, which consist of two strategically placed marks—one located just below the shank or eye and the other on the hook tip—allowing for a measurement to determine if the throat opening has changed due to potential abuse or overload. Additionally, angle indicators indicate the maximum included angle allowed between two sling legs in the hook, also providing a method to approximate other included angles. Type approval certification is available in accordance with ABS 2016 Steel Vessel Rules and ABS Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances 2016. Certificates may be requested at the time of order, which may incur additional charges.
