The eye hoist hooks feature the most complete line available, crafted from carbon steel and alloy steel, with a design factor of 5:1 for carbon steel and 4.5:1 for 30T - 60T alloy steel. These eye hooks are load-rated, ensuring reliability and safety. Their robust construction results from proper design, careful forging, and precision-controlled quenching and tempering, which provide maximum strength while minimizing weight and bulk. Each Crosby eye hook comes with a latch, and latch assemblies can be added even years after the original purchase. To ensure quality, chemical analysis and tensile tests are performed on each piece to verify its chemistry and mechanical properties. The hooks hold type approval certification in accordance with ABS 2016 Steel Vessel and Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances 2016, and certificates are available upon request at the time of order, which may incur additional charges. They also meet the ASME B30.10 standard. Each hoist hook is marked with two types of strategically placed markings, which include deformation indicators and angle indicators, designed for quick checks of the hook's condition.
