The Forged hoist hook is designed with a quenched and tempered construction, featuring load-rated swivel hooks that ensure maximum strength without excessive weight and bulk due to careful forging and precision-controlled quenching and tempering. It includes a low-profile hook tip compatible with Crosby S-4320 or PL-N latch kits, allowing for additional latch assemblies to be added even years after the initial purchase. The hoist hooks are marked with two Quic-Check® features: deformation indicators, represented by two strategically placed marks—one just below the shank and the other on the hook tip—to measure any change in the throat opening, indicating potential abuse or overload. Angle indicators also provide the maximum included angle allowed between two sling legs in the hook, enabling approximation of other angles. The product is type-approved in accordance with ABS 2016 Steel Vessel Rules and ABS Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances 2016, with certificates available upon request at the time of order, possibly subject to additional charges.
