The kit includes an upgraded one-piece assembly designed for use with grade 70, 80, or 100 chain, featuring a forged handle with no bolts or nuts that can become loose. It incorporates a continuous take-up feature that allows for finite adjustment to securely tie down loads. The positive ratchet mechanism ensures easy operation, while the ratchet spring is coated to prevent rust. All load-bearing or holding components are individually forged and proof-tested before shipment. This product meets or exceeds the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) cargo securement tie-down guidelines as of November 2003.
