The eye hoist hooks are the most complete line available, constructed from carbon steel and alloy steel, with a design factor of 5:1 for carbon steel and 4.5:1 for alloy steel models rated for 30T to 60T. These load-rated eye hooks feature a well-engineered design, precise forging, and controlled heat treatment processes that maximize strength while minimizing weight and bulk. Each Crosby eye hook comes standard with a latch, and latch assemblies can be added even years post-purchase. Rigorous chemical analysis and tensile tests are conducted on each product to ensure compliance with specified mechanical properties. The hooks are type approved in accordance with ABS 2016 Steel Vessel and Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances 2016, with certificates available upon request, potentially incurring additional charges. They also comply with ASME B30.10 standards, and feature two strategically placed markings forged into the product that serve as Quic-Check® deformation and angle indicators.
