The Crosby eye hoist hooks are a comprehensive line of products available in carbon steel and alloy steel, featuring a 5:1 design factor for carbon steel and a 4.5:1 design factor for 30T - 60T alloy steel. Each hook is load rated and constructed with proper design, careful forging, and precision-controlled quenching and tempering to ensure maximum strength without excessive weight. Every Crosby eye hook comes equipped with a latch, which can have latch assemblies added even years after the original purchase. Each hook undergoes chemical analysis and tensile tests to verify its chemistry and mechanical properties. The hooks carry type approval certification in accordance with ABS 2016 Steel Vessel and Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances 2016, with certificates available upon request at the time of order, possibly incurring additional charges. They also comply with ASME B30.10 standards and feature two types of strategically placed markings for Quic-Check® features, which include deformation indicators and angle indicators.
