The forged hoist hooks are quenched and tempered, featuring load-rated swivel hooks that are designed for maximum strength while minimizing weight and bulk. The low-profile hook tip is compatible with Crosby S-4320 or PL-N latch kits, and users can add latch assemblies even years after the original purchase. Each hoist hook incorporates markings that provide deformation indicators—two strategically placed marks, one located just below the shank or eye and another on the hook tip—which allow for a Quic-Check® measurement to assess any changes in the throat opening that could indicate abuse or overload. Additionally, angle indicators show the maximum included angle permitted between two sling legs, and they can also help approximate other included angles. The hooks come with type approval certification in accordance with ABS 2016 Steel Vessel Rules and the ABS Guide for Certification of Lifting Appliances 2016, with certificates available upon request at the time of order, potentially incurring additional charges.
