This is a genuine Powermatic replacement part. The scale tape is designed by the manufacturer for use on a cabinet saw and is made of flexible plastic with an adhesive backing. It is specifically used to measure the distance from the fence to the saw blade. The installation process requires no tools; simply remove the old part, peel off the protective backing, and carefully stick the new part in place.
