The Duran® Pressure Plus GL45 bottle is a clear, 1-liter laboratory container designed to safely handle vacuum or pressure applications, providing optimal safety for both the user and contents. The bottle features a modified geometry that guarantees pressure resistance, allowing it to withstand pressure differentials. Manufactured from Duran borosilicate 3.3 glass, it exhibits excellent thermal performance with a temperature range of -70°C to +140°C for the bottle and -40°C to +140°C for the cap. It is highly resistant to chemical attack and can resist vacuum and/or pressure from -1 to +1.5 bar, with vacuum resistance guaranteed to 1 bar and vacuum pressure resistance guaranteed to +1.5 bar gauge. The bottle is certified by the German Technical Inspection Association (TÜV) according to the DIN EN 1595:1997-05 industry standard and features a GL45 DIN thread. The blue ceramic graduations are easy to read and are permanent and highly durable due to being fired-on ceramic. The bottle is autoclavable and sterilizable up to 121°C, and its special geometry conforms to ISO 4796-1:2016 for instrument compatibility. Additionally, manufacturing traceability is ensured through a lot-specific retrace code printed on the bottle. A special-order safety coating is also available to protect the user and contents in the event of breakage. Note that when under pressure, thermal shock resistance is 30 K, and the maximum usage temperature is +140°C. Typical applications include safe working under pressure or vacuum, sampling under pressure, and storage of gas-generating media.
