Kimble® Kimax® solution bottles are heavy-duty carboys designed for prolonged life expectancy under rigorous usage, making them ideal for the storage and dispensing of solutions. The carboy-style bottle features sloping shoulders and a neck tooled for a uniform fit with a #12 rubber stopper. The 5-gallon size is constructed according to Federal Specification DD-B-597 and is manufactured from 33 expansion, low extractable borosilicate glass that conforms to USP Type I and ASTM E438, Type I, Class A requirements. Included accessories consist of a carboy clamp and silicone stopper assemblies, which feature a 3-port platinum-cured stopper assembly and a sanitary PVDF clamp for sterile fluid transfer devoid of extractables, catering to bio-tech and pharmaceutical applications. The stopper ports are compatible with 1/8", 1/4" (the 4-port stopper includes two 1/4" ports), and 3/8" silicone tubing, which is provided in pre-cut 2" lengths. These assemblies are non-sterile, autoclavable, and specifically designed to fit all sizes of Kimble® Kimax® 14950 solution (carboy) bottles.
