Used to determine proof of ethyl alcohol spirits, these hydrometers are available in various ranges from 0 to 206%. Each hydrometer measures 300mm (12") in length and features a lead-free ballast made of glass, compliant with the standards set by the Bureau of Internal Revenue, U.S. Treasury Department. The tolerances for these hydrometers align with those outlined in Circular 555 of the National Bureau of Standards, and each hydrometer is individually serialized for testing. The temperature standardization is set at 60°F (15°C). These products are hand inspected by our U.S. quality team and are packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, indicating accuracy traceable to NIST. Note: Hydrometers should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place, and should not be subjected to extreme temperatures.
